A Very Merry Vitalicious Giveaway!

I wanted to kick off Christmas week right – and what better way to do that than to offer a giveaway for one of my favourite products EVER?

Whenever I do a giveaway on my blog it is always for a product that I have tried and tested many times and have declared one of my favourites, but this one might just take the cake (pun intended).

Vitalicious’ Vitamuffins – 100-calorie portions of fibrous decadent goodness – are like mini cakes ready to be devoured. Yet there’s ZERO guilt with these bad boys. There’s 9g of fibre in each muffin and less than 1.5g fat. Even better, my favourite flavour – the deep chocolate variety – has 5g of protein! That’s way more than you would find in your regular sugar-loaded greasy muffin.

I’ll let you in on a very guilty secret – that no doubt many of you will be repulsed by. I’m odd this way :). My favourite way to eat a Vitamuffin, which is often a before-bed snack if I’m feeling a bit peckish – is broken up in a mug of milk. Yeah, I told you you’d be grossed out. Forget about the fifth taste being ‘umami’ – for me it’s soggy. The soggier the better. I was that kid who couldn’t understand why they always advertised cereal that stays crunchy in milk as if that were a good thing. I would always wait 10-15 minutes for my cereal to go soggy before eating it. And in my defense, soggy is a word designed to make you think of gross things. If we used a different word to describe soggy things, I bet they would seem way more appealing.

Anyway, back to the Vitamuffins ;).

You can buy whole muffins or – my favourite – the VitaMuffin VitaTops, which of course are inspired by the muffin top craze. The top really is the best part. I’m pretty sure muffin tops (of the edible variety) is the main reason we are all permanently indebted to Seinfeld:

My favourites are the apple crumble and deep chocolate flavours, so I was delighted when they were the two flavours sent to me by Vitalicious to review. However, the muffins come in all kinds of flavours, including banana chocolate chip and fudgy peanut butter – ooh yeah.
