5 Things I’m Excited About!

This is one of those ‘ad hoc’ posts that I don’t do very often but they’re an easy way to get people up to date with things in my life, and for me to get to find out things going on in other people’s lives!

I’ve tagged 5 bloggers from whom I would love to read a “5 Things I’m Excited About!” post.

The bloggers I tagged are listed at the end of this post. So get on it so I can read ’em and be a real nosy parker ;).

Here we go…

#1 – My cleanse being over! Today is the last day of 4 1/2 weeks (33 days to be exact) of cleansing.

I feel lots better in terms of energy, my skin is amazing right now which I wasn’t expecting! I don’t think I have any sensitivities to any foods because I don’t feel any different having cut a bunch of different food items out, but I will know for sure when I start reintroducing them. I missed chocolate but no longer crave it and have to have it every day, which is also nice.

To those of you who have written asking what cleanse I would recommend: I did the 12-day Wild Rose Detox followed by the 3-week MediClear cleanse. I would definitely recommend the Wild Rose Detox. For sure. I felt great on that! The MediClear cleanse wasn’t that different from what I was eating before, so I don’t feel too different on this one.

#2 – My massage tonight!

I get a lot of shoulder and neck tension being on the computer so much for my day job so I try to see a registered massage therapist every month. It’s been six weeks since my last one and I am in pain nearly every day now so I cannot wait to see my massage therapist tonight! Relief is in sight!

#3 – My mom’s birthday is coming up on February 19th. Think I might make her some of these…Guiltless Let it Snow Cupcakes

#4 – Going HOME in 6 weeks!

Most of you who read this blog know that although I live in Vancouver, I’m not Canadian! I’m from the Cayman Islands and this is the longest stretch of time that I have not been back home in forever. It’s been two years since I was last home, because last year I used my vacation time up for a big trip to England to see my grandmother and extended family there as I hadn’t been back in 10 years. But in March I’m going to Cayman with my mom, sister and brother-in-law (and nephew/niece in my sister’s belly ;)) and I cannot wait! Old friends, good times and tons of diving so I can relive memories like this…

#6 – I’m getting more and more excited every day for the Hunger Games movie.

If you missed my review of the books click here. LOVE them. The new trailer for the movie came out during the Superbowl…check it out!

Oh, and as a little bonus…I’m SUPER excited to share these with you on Friday:

What do you think they are???

Taking time to think about things we’re excited for gives us a newfound energy, I think, so it’s always worth a moment or two of your time!

Taggage:

If you’re up for it, I’ve tagged the following 5 bloggers to share in a post the 5 things they are most excited about! (Or if you have something else you want to share or list, change it up a bit! We’re not in school here ;)).

It’s just a great energy and motivation boosting exercise – I hope you enjoy it!

QUESTIONS:

  • Even if I didn’t tag you or you don’t have a blog, leave a note in the comments section about something (or things) you’re excited about! Can’t wait to hear!

  1. YAY! Im excited for this tag! Thank you so much girl!!!!

Love the things you are excited about, especially the massage ; ) enjoy that today, you deserve it! Congrats on doing that cleanse too!

    Happy Tuesday! ❤

    • Yay I saw you did the survey on your blog, so excited to read it! Thanks girl, I am so glad the cleanse is done and I am SO looking forward to my massage – without meaning to I booked it on the evening of the last day of my cleanse, so I feel like it’s a reward for all my hard work!

  2. yay for going home soon – how exciting!

  3. thanks for the tag! I get more excited for the Hunger Games movie every time I see an article/billboard/interview, etc it’s just gonna get crazierrr, I can’t wait!!! 😉 Enjoy that massage!

  4. Yey! Thank you for the tag Anna 🙂

Not gonna lie, seeing that massage picture has made me aching for one myself. I’ve been experiencing some crazy back pain this weekend in this one particular spot, but am still being successful in persuading my personal masseuse (ahem, Will) to work on the area. As soon as he gives up– its off to the professionals I go!

    • No worries Brittany, I can’t wait to see what you’re excited about!

Massages sound like such luxury items to people who don’t get them very often but for me they’re a necessary way to keep my body in check after some injuries I got in my early 20s and the tension I get working on the computer. I cannot WAIT! Definitely treat yourself to grab one soon!

  5. I love this idea, so cute!
And I gave you an award on our blog today! Come by to see it!

  6. This is a fun idea! And Anna, I am soooo darn excited for the hunger games too!!! Cannot wait 😀

  7. Anna, that is so cool that you are from the Caymen Islands. I bet you are so ready to go home and enjoy some sunshine 🙂
I can almost always find things to be excited about in life. Right now, I’m excited about catching up on past episodes of Revenge, working with some new health coaching clients, making up a recipe for pumpkin brownies, uploading a ton of new photos to my computer and giving my boyfriend his Valentine’s Day gift.
It makes me feel good just typing those things out! Have a great day!

  8. Girl, can you please tale me to the Cayman Islands with you????? You are sooo lucky my gorgeous friend to be able to head there any time you want 😉 Vancouver will miss you for that time 🙂

Thank you for the tag, I LOVE this!!

    xxoo

  9. What a fun idea! I love this! I think it’d be good to do this, even for just yourself once in a while to bring a positive energy to your day!
I CANNOT wait for the Hunger Games movie as well. I am only on the second book now, but am flying through them, they are so hard to put down!
Can’t wait for that recipe on friday, those look delicious!!!

    • Oh I’m so excited for you to finish the books! Though that’s always a bittersweet thing because then they’re done and you can never re-read them for the ‘first’ time again, you know?? Thanks so much Jentry, I am excited to share this recipe with you guys on Friday for sure!

  10. This is such a fun idea!
I’m sooo impressed that you completed the entire cleanse. I seriously admire your discipline. I’m sure you’re feeling amazing! I should look into that cleanse.
Right this second I’m excited about my Peanut Butter Prize package from Justin’s Nut Butter that came in the mail today! I won a giveaway a few weeks ago and am loooving all the stuff they sent me! ❤

  11. This is such a fun post! I always forget you’re from the Cayman Islands!? That is one of the coolest things ever. I’ve never had a professional massage and I think I need to change that ASAP. I can’t stop thinking about one ever since I saw this post! I really like the idea of playing tag, too. 🙂

  12. Those are all awesome things to be excited about! Yaayy for being done your cleanse! 😀

…I’m excited for that brownie recipe! xo

  13. Alex @ Raw Recovery says:

I went to Grand Cayman as a young girl and absolutely loved it. Rum point (although touristy) was just absolutely stunning. A true paradise.

  14. Yum! I think they all look delish! I love quiche so this one definitely caught my eye! I like to make it in advance for the upcoming week..and I typically just make a crustless version…next time, I want to try goat cheese! Great job on your detox…that’s awesome!!!!

    • That’s a great idea to make it crustless! I could do that with this quiche – if a quiche has enough flavour, I don’t mind it crustless, but with others I don’t want to taste too much egg so then I have a hard time cutting out the crust!

  15. Oooh so excited to be tagged -thanks so much! Posting right now 🙂
