April Photo-a-Day Challenge: Week 4!

Copyright to fatmumslim.com.au

Are you guys still with me on this? We’re finishing up Week 4, and I will have one final post next week to capture the remaining few photos between now and then.

I’ve really enjoyed doing the challenge so far and am definitely thinking about doing May’s, though I wouldn’t do update posts every week – probably just one at the end of the month. Don’t want to inundate you guys with these when they’re all over my Instagram, Facebook and Twitter feeds anyway!

As usual, if you’ve been keeping up with the challenge please feel free to link up your posts/Instagram account or Twitter, Facebook feeds etc. I’d love to see what your takes on the image subjects have been!

I’m off getting my eyes lasered today – eeps! Terrified, but hopefully by the time you read this I’m already done, or at least nearly… not to worry, lots of posts lined up in case my vision is too blurry to see for the next week. I was warned that reading might be tough for five or so days (I got PRK, not LASIK, so I have a longer recovery time than most LASIK procedures), so just in case I have some great recipes that should keep you guys happy for the next little while!

  • Thursday, April 19: orange
My lunch was pretty darn orange! Haha – I love Campbell’s Gardennay soups when I’m in a real rush and need a store-bought soup. This butternut squash one isn’t sweet like most squash soups you find. And their lower sodium line is fab!

  • Friday, April 20th: something you drew
When it comes to drawing and visual art, my sister got all the artistic genes. I am terrible at it! So instead let’s be creative with this one…I drew my curtains Friday morning to reveal the most beautiful sun-filled view! It was a lovely sunny day here in Vancouver :).

  • Sunday, April 22: the last thing you bought
My friend is getting married in October so it’s been super fun going to some wedding shows with her! A group of us went to the Dare to Dream wedding showcase on the weekend – so the ticket to enter was the last thing I bought when I took this photo.
The bonus was that ticket proceeds were donated to the Canuck Place Children’s Hospice…we had a great time looking at all the decorations and photography!

  • Monday, April 23: vegetable
My favourite way to get my greens? In my morning beverage :). My favourite to blend in is spinach – you don’t taste it at all! So Monday’s breakfast was half a frozen banana blended with 1/4 cup almond milk, 1/2 tbsp peanut butter and 1 cup of spinach. I threw in a scoop of protein powder for staying power :).

  • Tuesday, April 24: something you’re grateful for
My friendships…especially my best friend Afra! (Don’t mind the bags under our eyes – this was taken at 2am in a nightclub photobooth so we were fairly tired and the lighting was not flattering. For example, my hair is not that shade of yellow. Lol.)

  • Wednesday, April 25: looking down
Looking down! Wasn’t sure what else to do for this one… 🙂

  1. You look SO beautiful in that pic Anna! I love your hair in it too!

I am grateful for waking up today ❤ Big thing to be grateful for every day!

  2. I love your take on something you drew! Very smart! I’m horrible at drawing too 😦

  3. Something to be grateful for…..hmm….where to start! Gratitude is a funny thing. Sometimes we forget it in the most mundane…and important places. Like Katie said, waking up in the morning! I’m also grateful for my wonderful husband, who puts up with all of my craziness at night and my brother, who deals with it all during the day at work!

Oh, and my favorite veggie is cauliflower…currently I’m loving it roasted (which I have in my lunch leftover from dinner last night!)

  4. Oh my goodness I couldn’t even pic a fav vegetable!!!!! 😀 I don’t even know if there is one I don’t like!?!?!

I am so excited to do May photo challenge 😀

  5. Sam @ Fit for my Fork says:

The view from your flat is absolutely gorgeous!

I like lots of vegetables, but my favourite might be broccoli. Or peppers. Mmmm. 🙂 And I am grateful for a lot of things, but the most immediate is that tomorrow is Friday because I am totally ready for the weekend!

  6. You’re very creative. I love that you ‘drew’ the window curtain open- great mind!

  7. Love these photos! Especially love the “drew” the curtains! Very creative! ha

And I love that your smoothie is in a wine glass. Stay classy! 🙂

  8. I’m grateful for Photo-A-Day April! 😉 Seriously, it’s been very fun! Hope your eyes are doing ok today!
